    Hot Stocks in Focus for Thursday Dec. 06, 2012. 

    Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ:FNSR)- Finisar Corporation's (NASDAQ:FNSR) Q2 earnings fell 95% company reported weaker revenue and margins. The shares however gained in after hours as the company reported improved sales compared to fiscal first quarter.

    Vera Bradley, Inc. (NASDAQ:VRA)-Vera Bradley, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:VRA) fiscal Q3 earnings climbed 37% due to strength in same-store sales and margins. However, shares fell 10% on after hours because the company predicted lower Q4 guidance and lowered its full-year revenue expectations.


    Citigroup Inc.(NYSE:C)-  Citigroup Inc.(NYSE:C) is planning to cut 11,000 jobs, which is around 4% of its work force and will get a related $1 billion fourth-quarter charge. Consumer banking will be hardest hit, with about 35% of the charges and the majority of the layoffs in branch banking and consumer lending. The bank also will scale back or exit consumer banking in five countries, including Pakistan and Turkey. The gain is expected to continue Today.

    Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK)- Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) shares jumped 12.79% on Wednesday after the company unveiled its Lumia 620. which is its third device running the latest version of Windows for smartphones and is aimed at a younger crowed, with a low price and a set of exchangeable shells in various colors. The company also announced a deal with China Mobile Ltd. to sell a Chinese version of the Lumia 920 flagship device, in hopes of regaining lost ground in China. This deal can give a further boost to the stock on Thursday.
