    According to Roman Gordon, CTI's CEO, "We confirmed today that we have a target date of April 16th to install the first full capacity pilot system in a large scale vegetable oil processing plant." Mr. Gordon also commented "that this first edible oil refining system installation is being done in conjunction with industry leader Desmet Ballestra for one of its 5,000 potential clients in this sector."

    Cell Therapeutics, Inc. Announces Institutional Investors Purchase $20 Million of Preferred Stocks
    Cell Therapeutics, Inc. today announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell $20 million of shares of its Series 4 Preferred Stock and warrants to purchase shares of its common stock in a registered offering to three institutional investors. Each share of Series 4 Preferred Stock is convertible at the option of the holder, at any time during its existence, into 2,000 shares of common stock at a conversion price of $0.50 per share of common stock, for a total of 40,000,000 common shares.

    LIHRTake-over Bid rejected by Board. Shareholders not happy with the decision. In normal situation, by rejecting an offer, the company usually is looking for higher bid and stock price rises. But here by voicing their dissatisfaction for the rejection, shareholders are losing an opportunity for higher bid. It will be an interesting story how this thing will shape up.
    Lihir board under fire over takeover rejection
    Credit Suisse analyst Michael Slifirski said Lihir's investors would voice their dissatisfaction over the board's handling of the bid during shareholder meetings this week. "We would argue that the premium is both fair and reasonable, and believe that were shareholders given an opportunity to do so, they would vote in favour of accepting the offer," he said in a client note.
