ELN - Elan is all set for spinning off Elan Drug Technologies from its main business. This would have a major impact on the stocks. The best bet will be options. High gains are possible if options played smart. Market capital of the company itself will reduce after the spin off but then it will have the cash obtained by the sell. Cash is always more useful for research companies. ELAN call-options can be a gold mine once Tysabri problems get over. They also have a Drug for Alzheimer's disease in late clinical trials. If this drug comes in the market, it will be biggest Blockbuster as there is no drug yet for the disease. Do your research on ELAN and study their options. Also this is the best time to get the options as the options price will be at bottom due to the spin off news.
